Original Fiction Website

Fri Dec 5, 2008, 9:09 PM
Alright, after much hard work, many failed servers and a bit of money, it's finally up!

We're not 100% finished, there are a few small, minor things to finish working on, but it's ready for action. So if you're still interested go ahead and check it out> [link] and make yourself an account : ) I hope you all enjoy it.

Original Fiction

Hey Guys,

I have a question for you all, and it is mildly important!

Since I've sort of stopped bebopping around with TH (sad, but life goes on) I personally would still like to write, but I find myself not sure what to write about, or really, how to share it with other people. There are many 'original fiction' websites and communities, but of the ones I've tried there just seems to be kind of a lack of quality/interest/member numbers that's a little bit sad- and then there are websites where original fiction is sold and you have to pay a membership fee to read the stories, but they're very good stories, but still, only by one or a few select group of authors, and not for free. I want something in the middle.

I'm wondering if anyone here about would be interested in a website that was akin to THF in that, it would be free, open to anyone for membership, with a moderated submission entry, but catered to original fiction and stories (generally leaning towards slash m/m, but allowing other things like het, gen and f/f)

I've already talked to a friend about it and come up with some interesting ideas for monthly challenges, there would be a shoutbox on the site and perhaps a forum, and we were thinking maybe a monthly challenge with free art from myself as a prize, or other things.

Thoughts, comments, yay or nay?

Plagiarism

Okay guys. Sorry for being gone so long, and never updating stuff. I mostly do schoolwork now (all of which can be viewed on my website [link] OR on my new DA account deadlyseahorse)

I would just like all of you to know that a very good friend of mine, Froggy, has been plagiarized not once, but TWICE this week! Crazy ennit?

Her fic, 1:14, was originally posted on THF ages ago, and this bint stole it. You can comment if you like on said bint and view the stolen story here: [link]

She also stole the banner I made for Froggy. Gal's got taste and class, huh? Stolen banner can be seen here: [link]

So, in conclusion, people are teh suck. And it sucks that she's actually trying to claim that Froggy plagiarized HER. Hahahaha, hi-fuckin-larious. It's great, really is.

Well, I've never been asked to do one of these before, but I was tagged, so I'll give it a go.

Rules:
-------------------------------
1.Post these rules.

2.People tagged must post 8 things each about themselves in their journals.

3.Tag six people and post their icons on the same journal.

4. Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.

5. No tag-backs
--------------------------------

- I have a dog named Pongo, but he only has 3 really big black spots.

- I live with my grandmother when I'm not at school.

- I love playing Warcraft 3 TD maps and WoW xD.

- I really love going to coffee shops and sitting in them for hours.

- I have aspirations of writing a fiction novel, but I never feel confident enough about my writing to do too much.

- I'm really worried about being able to make it as an illustrator = / [cross your fingers for me]

- I'm only 21 years old and I have had to bury two siblings [Kala Marie and Jacob Joseph].

- I've been 21 for a few months now and I have never so much as touched a drop of alcohol, woo!

----------------------------

I will tag people later when I have more time, right now I'm being beckoned to help build the deck.

Why post pictures?

Journal Entry: Wed May 28, 2008, 11:45 AM

Why do people post photographs that they clearly haven't taken?

This is DeviantArt. A website, for artists and people who like art, to post ART.

It is not a fan site. It is not imageshack, or photobucket.

Please, people, I know you like Tokio Hotel, but slapping on some stupid words in comic sans or times new roman onto a photograph you got off the internet is not art.

And then there's people that don't even do that, they just upload the actual image, no strings attached. And then they don't even say that it's -not- a picture they took in the artists comments. And I'm not saying people mistake these folks for real photographers, but at least have the decency to say so when you upload it. Come on!

There are people here who work hard at making art, uploading it and showing it to other people.

Why do you have to go and throw in all these pictures and ruin searches? I'd like for once to be able to search Tokio Hotel and not find a bunch of photographs and crappy picture collages with song lyrics.

You know what I'd like to find?

Art!
